SECURITY OFFICERS

Many names are used to describe a person working in the Security Industry:

Security Officer, Security Guard, Security Operative, Security Personnel, and Access Control Officer are just a few.

Our Security Officers:

  • are privately and formally employed persons who are paid to enforce company rules and protect your property, assets, and people
  • are uniformed and act to protect property by maintaining a high visibility presence to deter illegal and inappropriate actions. They observe (either directly, through patrols, or by watching alarm systems and/or video cameras) for signs of crime, fire, vandalism, or disorder; then take action and report any incidents to their manager, client, and emergency services as appropriate
  • practice the "detect, deter, observe, and report" methodology
  • adhere to the Four Licensing Objectives - Protection of life, Protection of property and premises, Prevention of loss and waste, Prevention and detering of crime
  • take accurate notes, write detailed reports, and perform other tasks as required by the contractee they are serving
  • perform access control at building entrances and vehicle gates; meaning, they ensure that employees and visitors display proper passes or identification before entering the facility
  • patrol regularly and use electronic systems to record the frequency of patrols (reports are made available to the client)
